The latest TOP500 list of the fastest supercomputers in the world is out, with Chinese machines continuing to dominate while the US plays catch-up.
The TOP500 list is once again ruled by the Chinese Sunway TaihuLight and its ability to handle 93 quadrillion calculations per second.
While there are changes elsewhere in the top 25, most of machines still rely heavily on vast numbers of Intel CPUs, sometimes aided by Nvidia GPUs or many-core Intel Phi processors.
